Why raise funds for McAlister?

As you may already know, most of our services are provided because there is a great need, not because ample funding exists. It is our strong commitment to continue pursuing the necessary revenue to help with the costs of our programs. As with any non-profit charity event, all proceeds directly benefit McAlister Program Services and the community we serve.

Established in 1977, McAlister Institute began offering treatment services to the San Diego County Area. With a unique vision, services grew to include areas not previously addressed, such as a program designed specifically for women and their children, and many other areas as needs were presented.

McAlister is dedicated to improving the lives of society’s underserved population. The agency currently serves over 2,500 men, women, children and youth each month. McAlister is respected throughout San Diego County for their work affecting the families and communities we live in.  While we are proud of the recognition we receive, we are most proud of the changed lives and gallant efforts put forth by those seeking recovery. The true awards come in the form of healed lives, renewed families, spiritual and emotional growth, and the productivity those in recovery can contribute to society as a whole.
